|1. Candidates must report before one hour of above scheduled time with all necessary original crtificates at the B.V.Polytechnic Admission Center.|
|2. Candidates who do not report on the above specific date and time, will loose their Admission claim.|
|3. Fee for all category Rs. 55920/- Should be paid by Pay Order drawn in favour of B.V.Polytechnic only on the same day or next day upto 12.00 noon failing which provisional admission offered will be treated as cancelled.|
|4. Candidates under OBC/SBC/VJ-DT/NT-1/NT-2/Nt-3 Categories must produce Caste Certificate & Non-Cremylayer Certificate at the time of Admission.|
|5. The Candidates belonging to reserved category and aspiring to take admission to this institute should note that as per DTE letter and admission rules, only those candidates who will take admission through CAP (online admission process) will be eligible for fees reimbursement (Free ship & Scholarship) and all other benefits from state government.|
|6. The final fees will be decided by Shikshan Shulk Samiti Mah. State. In due course of time. If the fee decided by the samiti will be less, then additional fees will be refunded and if the fee decided by the samiti is more the balance amount will have to be paid by the candidate.|

1. Eligibility for Admission
Candidates who have passed the Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSC) Maharashtra or its equivalent with minimum of 35 % marks out of an aggregate of marks with the subject Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English are eligible to apply for admission. Admission will be strictly on inter-se-merit.
2. Reservation of Seats
50 % seats are for Open Category and as per rules laid down by Maharashtra State Govt. the reservation for backward categories is as follows.
A. Reservation for Backward Classes
50 % Seats shall be reserved for backward classes as per the Government order issued from time to time. The existing reservation of seats is as under: Seats shall be reserved for backward class candidates from Maharashtra State, as per percentage given below of the sanctioned intake, course wise, in all the Govt. Aided and Unaided Polytechnics.

Candidates applying under these categories are required to produce, caste certificate issued by Executive Magistrate or Tehsildar or Metropolitan Magistrate of the District at the time of submission of form without which they will be considered under open category.
a. Non – Creamy Layer Certificate : The candidates claiming to belong to categories NT1, NT2, NT3, OBC, VJ, shall submit a certificate valid for the current year and issued by the concerned Sub Divisional Officer/Deputy Controller that the parents of the candidate do not belong to Creamy Layer as per the relevant orders of the Government from time to time.
b. The Caste Certificate produced by the candidate claiming reservation shall clearly mention the category of reservation and caste of the candidate.
c. Original Non Creamy Layer and Caste Certificate for OBC/NT1/NT2/NT3 & VJ categories must be produced at the time of interview / admission, failing which admission offered to the candidate, will be treated as cancelled.
B. Reservation for Physically Handicapped
One percent of the total intake capacity shall be reserved for physically handicapped students. The candidate will be required to produce a certificate by the Civil Surgeon in the prescribed form certifying the candidate’s ability to undergo all parts of the syllabus theory, workshop, practical etc. The admission to physically handicapped students shall be on the basis of inter-se-merit.
C. Free ship / Scholarship Facility
State Government Scholarship is awarded to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes D.T., N.T., V.J. / SBC. & O.B.C. Students. These students are advised to apply for Free ship/Scholarship as per program to be notified, failing which they will not be able to avail of the same.
As per the decision of state government only the candidates who will take admission through CAP will be eligible for free ship or scholarship.
The Vidyavardhinis Bhausaheb Vartak Polytechnic gives admission through institute admission procedure and does not participate in CAP therefore the students taking admission in this institute will not get free ship or scholarship for backward category.
How To Apply
1. Eligible candidates should fill in the application forms (provided with prospectus) in their own handwriting and submit them to the principal of the Polytechnic on or before the notified last date for submission of forms. No application form will be accepted after 5.00 p.m. of the last notified date.
2. The application must be accompanied by the following (true copies only)
A. School or College Leaving Certificate signed by the Headmaster of the school or the Principal of the College in which the student was last enrolled.
B. Certificate of Examination passed with the statement of marks.
C. Certificate of Date of Birth if it is not mentioned in School or College Leaving Certificate.
D. Medical Certificate or Physical Fitness from a recognized medical practitioner in original.
E. Certificate from the proper authority regarding the caste if the candidate claims to belong to the backward class of the state.
F. Certificate of physical disabilities from the competent authority if applying under the physically handicapped category.
G. Domicile certificate.
H. Nationality certificate.
3. So far as backward classes are concerned, they shall produce certificate of their caste from the competent authority recognized by the state government in the prescribed Performa. Candidates claiming to belong to categories NT1/NT2/NT3/SBC/OBC/VJ will have to produce certificate from appropriate authority stating that the candidate’s parent do not come under creamy layer as per the relevant orders of the government. A caste certificate which is not in the prescribed form will not be valid. In the application form, category should be clearly mentioned in the given space whether belongs to SC/ST/NT/DT/VJ/OBC/OPEN etc. sub caste should also be mentioned.
Selection Of Candidates
All admission forms will be processed and after about 14 days of the last date of submission of forms, a merit list of applicants will be displayed on Notice-Board. A specific date for applicants to present themselves for an interview and a detailed scrutiny of their applications will be mentioned therein. If the candidate fails to report on the date mentioned, his/her candidature will be considered null and void and admission offered to next candidate on the waiting list.
The decision of the principal in all the matters relating to the admission shall be final and no complaints will be entertained in these respect.
The candidates called for detailed scrutiny of the application must produce the following certificates in original at the time of scrutiny.
1. Statement of marks of S.S.C. Examination.
2. Statement of marks of H.S.C, Examination (if any).
3. Caste Certificate (in case of Reserved Categories like SC, ST, NT / DT, OBC).
4. Physically handicapped certificate (in case of physically handicapped candidate).
5. Non Creamy Layer Certificate (in case of NT1, NT2, NT3, VJ / DJ, OBC & SBC categories).
6. Leaving Certificate issued by School / College.
7. Domicile Certificate
8. Nationality certificate.
9. Performa – Z issued by the Head master of last attended school stating that the student has studied in the school for 8th 9th and 10th standards.
In case all the required relevant original documents are not produced, the candidate will lose his claim for admission and his request for the extension of the date will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Admission offered at the time of interview for the above six disciplines (course) are provisional subject to the approval of the D.T.E.M.S. Mumbai. Candidates called for detailed scrutiny of their application are expected to pay the annual fees immediately after admission is over (within two days).
